Yogyakarta, Indonesia – Informatics students of Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Yogyakarta (UNU Jogja) continue to take active steps in mastering technology. This commitment is reflected in initiatives led by students through the Informatics Student Association (HIMATIKA).
Last week, HIMATIKA UNU Jogja organized a technology discussion titled “OpenClaw: Optimizing Developer Performance” on Saturday (April 11) at the UNU Yogyakarta campus. The event featured technology professionals, namely Zain Fathoni and El Muhammad Cholil H. Both speakers shared in-depth insights on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance productivity and efficiency in modern software development.
HIMATIKA Chair, Huda Muliya, stated that the initiative was driven by students’ growing awareness of the importance of technological mastery. She emphasized that readiness to face the rapid and disruptive development of AI is essential.
She further explained that the discussion on OpenClaw, released on January 26, 2026, represents a relevant technology that students need to understand today. According to her, the technology can improve developers’ efficiency, accelerate troubleshooting processes, and support smarter, data-driven decision-making.
“We hope that participants not only gain theoretical insights but also develop adaptive, critical, and innovative mindsets to face the dynamic evolution of technology,” she said.
Lecturer of the Informatics Department, Pipit Febriana Dewi, welcomed the student-led initiative. She encouraged students to continuously enhance their competencies, remain adaptable to change, and be able to identify opportunities within the rapidly evolving digital industry.
“The Informatics Department of UNU Jogja not only provides a learning space but also builds a collaborative ecosystem connecting students, communities, and the technology industry,” she noted.
During the session, the speakers explained OpenClaw as an AI Agent Gateway that can support various activities in DevOps practices. The discussion covered automation in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), optimization of CI/CD pipelines, strengthening security systems through layered approaches, as well as AI-based monitoring and observability.
As part of its commitment, UNU Jogja continues to strengthen its role in preparing students to face global technological challenges through an adaptive and sustainable learning ecosystem. [Latifah]
