Yogyakarta, Indonesia - Riva Listiyani, a 2024 cohort student of the Primary School Teacher Education (PGSD) Program at UNU Jogja, successfully earned the special title of Miss Bantul Craft 2025 while also securing a spot among the top six finalists in the Miss Bantul 2025 pageant. In this competition, she stood out among dozens of participants from various districts across Bantul Regency.
This year, the Bantul Regency Government will involve the 15 finalists of Miss Bantul 2025 in a program to promote local Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Pajangan District. The grand final took place at the Pendopo Parasamya of the Bantul Regent’s Office on Saturday, August 30, where Riva was officially crowned Miss Bantul Craft 2025.
Riva expressed her gratitude for this achievement. “I am truly grateful to have reached this point. This has been possible thanks to the support of my family, friends, relatives, and of course, myself. I hope I can carry this responsibility well, continue to grow, and inspire many others,” she said.
The Head of the PGSD Study Program at UNU Jogja, Mustamid, S.Pd., M.Pd., also extended his appreciation. “I am very proud of Riva’s accomplishment. Her achievement of becoming a Top 6 finalist of Miss Bantul 2025 and winning Miss Bantul Craft 2025 is the result of accumulated experiences and hard work. Over time, we have also invited her to appear in front of the public, for example as an Master of Ceremony in study program or faculty events. This shows that UNU students are agile and multi-talented individuals, regardless of their academic background,” he explained.
Furthermore, Mustamid encouraged Riva and all PGSD students to keep embracing new experiences and opportunities. “Continue to expose yourself to various experiences and opportunities, as they will be valuable for future careers and achievements,” he added.
Riva’s success in Miss Bantul 2025 reinforces UNU Jogja’s image as a university that encourages its students to develop not only academically but also in talents, interests, and personal competencies. [Latifah]
