Three UNU Jogja Students Selected as Google Student Ambassadors 2025

Yogyakarta, Indonesia – Three Informatics students from UNU Jogja, Danu Prianto, Itmamul Wava, and Muhammad Mufti Ardani, successfully passed the selection for the Google Student Ambassador (GSA) 2025 program organized by Google Indonesia.

In its official release, Google stated that the program aims to connect outstanding students worldwide with technology while shaping the leaders of the future. The three students went through several rigorous stages of selection, starting from document screening, technology- and AI-based challenges, to interviews. Out of thousands of candidates across Indonesia, they succeeded in becoming part of the 100 selected students who earned the title of Google Student Ambassador 2025.

Head of the Informatics Study Program at UNU Jogja, Yana Hendriana, Ph.D, expressed great appreciation for this achievement. “The GSA program is a prestigious platform that provides tremendous opportunities for students to develop themselves, expand their global networks, and become pioneers in leveraging technology, especially Artificial Intelligence. We are proud that UNU Jogja students have successfully passed this national selection,” she said.

Yana further added that with their new status as Google Student Ambassadors, Danu, Itmamul, and Arda are expected to bring various initiatives to campus, such as trainings, workshops, and technology collaborations that benefit both the academic community and the wider society.

On the same occasion, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology at UNU Jogja, Dr. Eng. Mochamad Syamsiro, also expressed his pride in the students’ achievement. According to him, this success not only brings honor to UNU Jogja but also serves as motivation for other students to strive for excellence in their respective fields. [Latifah]
