UNU Jogja Opens Walk-in Interview for Permanent Lecturer Position in the Master's Program in Islamic Studies

Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Yogyakarta (UNU Jogja) has opened applications for academics to join its Master's Program in Islamic Studies as permanent lecturers through the 2026 Walk-in Interview Recruitment. The recruitment is part of the university's commitment to strengthening its academic workforce and enhancing the quality of higher education in the field of Islamic Studies.
The opportunity is open to Indonesian citizens who are Muslims and hold a doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in a discipline relevant to Islamic Studies. Applicants with an academic background in Islamic Sharia will be given priority during the selection process.
Candidates are required to have a minimum doctoral Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.50 on a 4.00 scale or its equivalent and be no older than 50 years of age as of December 31, 2026. Applicants must also demonstrate academic and English language proficiency by holding a minimum TOEFL PBT score of 500 (or an equivalent English proficiency certificate) and a minimum Academic Potential Test (TPA) score of 500 or an equivalent qualification.
Additional requirements include being physically and mentally fit, capable of performing academic duties, having a good moral character, being free from drug abuse, and having no immediate family relationship with employees of UNU Yogyakarta.
Applicants are required to submit all application documents via email to sdm@unu-jogja.ac.id. The required documents include an application letter addressed to the Rector of UNU Yogyakarta, a curriculum vitae, a recent passport-sized photograph with a red background, legalized copies of bachelor's, master's, and doctoral diplomas and academic transcripts, a portfolio or list of research publications, and other supporting documents, if available.
Applicants who obtained their degrees from overseas universities must also provide an Official Degree Equivalency Certificate issued by the relevant Indonesian authority as part of the administrative requirements.
