UNU Jogja Ranks in the Top 10 NU-Affiliated Universities in Indonesia According to SINTA

Yogyakarta, Indonesia — UNU Jogja has achieved a remarkable milestone by securing a position in the Top 10 Nahdlatul Ulama (NU)–affiliated universities, based on the latest Science and Technology Index (SINTA) score. This accomplishment is particularly noteworthy as it is achieved by a university that is not yet a decade old, yet has demonstrated rapid and significant growth in its research performance.

SINTA is an official platform under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek) that measures the performance of research outputs, community service, scientific publications, books, intellectual property, patents, and citations produced by lecturers and researchers across Indonesia.

“UNU Jogja’s inclusion in the Top 10 NU-affiliated universities confirms that the university is increasingly recognized on the national academic map, particularly in terms of publication performance and scientific activity,” said Adhan Kholis, Lecturer of the English Education Study Program and former Manager of the Data and Information Center at UNU Jogja.

In the SINTA list of NU-affiliated institutions, UNU Jogja has recorded more than 90 registered authors along with multiple active departments consistently contributing to scientific publications. This data underscores the dynamic and growing research ecosystem at UNU Jogja, aligning with the university’s commitment to fostering a strong academic culture despite being a relatively young institution.

“This achievement carries strategic significance for UNU Jogja’s journey as a young and fast-growing university. With an age not yet reaching ten years, securing a spot in the Top 10 NU universities reflects the institution’s strong momentum in advancing research, innovation, and academic quality in a sustainable manner,” Adhan Kholis concluded.
