UNU Jogja Ranks Among the World’s Top 20 at the QS Reimagine Education Awards 2025

Yogyakarta, Indonesia — Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Yogyakarta (UNU Jogja) closed 2025 with a significant international achievement. At the QS Reimagine Education Awards—often referred to as the “Oscars” of education—the university was ranked among the world’s top 20 institutions in the Access, Diversity & Inclusion category.

Now in its 12th edition, the QS Reimagine Education Awards is a global platform that recognizes educational innovations aimed at improving learning quality, graduate competitiveness, and social impact worldwide.

UNU Jogja received this recognition through its program titled “No One Left Behind: Inclusive Education for Everybody,” an initiative designed to expand access to higher education for all, particularly persons with disabilities and individuals from economically vulnerable backgrounds.

The QS Reimagine Education Awards 2025 ceremony was held during the QS Reimagine Education Conference at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in London, United Kingdom, in mid-December 2025. The forum brought together institutional leaders, policymakers, innovators, and education stakeholders from around the world.

This year’s awards were recorded as the most competitive to date, with more than 1,650 innovative programs submitted across 21 categories. All entries were evaluated by 1,344 international judges and a Main Judging Panel consisting of over 50 global experts.

QS President Nunzio Quacquarelli noted that many award-winning programs have continued to grow and foster international collaboration networks. “This forum serves as a space for the creation of new opportunities for cross-border partnerships and global collaboration,” he said.

Meanwhile, UNU Jogja Rector Widya Priyahita Pudjibudojo emphasized that the Top 20 global ranking at the QS Reimagine Education Awards 2025 marks an important milestone for the university. The achievement represents international recognition of UNU Jogja’s commitment to building an inclusive and equitable academic environment.

“This recognition reflects the dedication of the UNU Jogja academic community in developing innovative education models that ensure no student is left behind—whether due to physical barriers or economic challenges—while also bringing Indonesia’s name to the global stage,” she stated.
