UNU Jogja Welcomes Visit from PKPPS Kyai Parak Bambu Runcing Temanggung

Yogyakarta, Indonesia — Nahdlatul Ulama University (UNU) Jogja welcomed a visit from the delegation of Pondok Khidmah Pendidikan Pesantren Santri Kyai Parak Bambu Runcing (PKPPS-KPBR) Temanggung, Central Java, on Friday, September 12.
The delegation consisted of 36 students and 12 accompanying teachers. The visit was part of the annual study tour program aimed at providing students with broader insights and motivation to pursue higher education. “The purpose of this visit to UNU Jogja is to inspire our students to dream higher and pursue education for a better future,” said the Head of PKPPS Kyai Parak Bambu Runcing, M. Syihabul Fikri, SP.
The delegation was received by the UNU Jogja team led by Senior Manager of the Directorate of Employability & Entrepreneurship, Fanny Fauzy Hanifunni’am, M.Psi., along with the Admissions Team. In her remarks, Fanny expressed appreciation for the trust placed in UNU Jogja as a study tour destination. The visit continued with an interactive dialogue on academic programs, scholarship opportunities, and the university’s flagship initiatives.
The students were also given a campus tour to explore various facilities, including classrooms, laboratories, and student activity centers. The visit is expected to broaden their perspectives on higher education and encourage them to pursue university-level studies.
This visit also reaffirms UNU Jogja’s role as an inclusive university committed to expanding access to education for young people from diverse backgrounds, including students from Islamic boarding schools (pesantren). [Latifah]
