Realizing the Global Vision 2045, UNU Yogyakarta Holds Strategic Plan and Operational Plan Finalization Meeting for 2026–2030

Yogyakarta, Indonesia – Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Yogyakarta (UNU Jogja) continues to strengthen its institutional development and strategic direction by holding a Plenary Meeting for the Finalization of its 2026–2030 Strategic Plan and Operational Plan. The meeting, held at the Pre-Function Hall on the 5th Floor of UNU Yogyakarta Campus, was attended by university leaders, directors, and heads of technical units on Wednesday, June 24.

The plenary meeting marked a crucial continuation of a series of university governance initiatives that began in early 2026. These included the Annual Work Plan Preparation in February 2026, the Workshop on the Development Master Plan and Strategic Plan on May 11–13, 2026, and the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on the Operational Plan on May 19, 2026. Following the completion of university-level performance targets, the current plenary session focused on translating those targets into measurable objectives for directorates and operational units.

Acting Rector of UNU Yogyakarta, Dr. Fahmy Akbar Idries, emphasized that the planning documents represent the university’s concrete commitment to achieving its long-term vision.

"This plenary meeting is an important milestone to ensure alignment across all levels of the institution. Every program designed by directorates and units must serve as an accelerator in realizing UNU Yogyakarta’s vision of becoming an excellent and globally competitive university in the development of science and technology based on Aswaja An-Nahdliyah values for the benefit of society by 2045," he stated.

He further highlighted that, grounded in Islamic, academic, and national values, UNU Yogyakarta remains committed to implementing professional and accountable university governance.

Echoing this commitment, Executive Director of UNU Yogyakarta, Suharti, M.A., explained that the plenary meeting serves as the operational foundation for ensuring effective, efficient, and integrated institutional development.

"Through this plenary meeting, we translate the university’s grand vision into measurable tactical targets at the directorate level. We expect this collaborative effort to support every unit within UNU Yogyakarta in generating academic innovation, strengthening research and community engagement that contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and expanding strategic partnerships at both national and global levels," she explained.

As a university in Yogyakarta with a strong global outlook, UNU Yogyakarta is optimistic that the Strategic Plan and Operational Plan developed through this meeting will serve as a solid organizational compass. These documents will guide faculties, study programs, and administrative units in formulating policies and operational activities, enabling the university to advance its aspiration as “The Leading Professional Hub and Future-Oriented University.” [Intan]
