Courtesy Visit to Bantul Regent, UNU Jogja Students Sharpen Leadership and Networking Skills

Yogyakarta, Indonesia – Management students from Nahdlatul Ulama University (UNU) Jogja conducted a courtesy visit to the office of Bantul Regent H. Abdul Halim Muslih on Monday, August 5 as part of their Corporate and Social Organization Behaviour course.

The supervising lecturer, Budi Sutiono P.N., explained that the visit is a continuation of the “Seven Habits for Highly Effective Young Leaders” program currently undertaken by the students. “We intentionally invited the students to meet public figures directly so they can become accustomed to interacting and learn from their experiences in various aspects,” he said..

“The classroom learning must be complemented with field experience. Through this meeting, students can better understand how public leaders operate and make decisions,” said Budi. He added that building relationships with leaders from government, academia, and business is essential to develop adaptive, visionary, and well-networked leadership skills.

During the visit, Regent H. Abdul Halim Muslih shared his perspectives on effective leadership, regional development challenges, and the critical role of youth in shaping the nation’s future.
