Adaro has fully supported UNU Jogja from the beginning and is proud of the rapid changes at the university. Adaro is open to continuing the partnership.

Yogyakarta, Indonesia - The UNU Jogja leadership warmly welcomed the PT Adaro Indonesia representatives like family during their visit to the Integrated Campus on Saturday, January 18. Those present included Zuraida Murida Hamdie, chairperson of the Adaro Bangun Negeri Foundation; Diah Ratu Lestari, head of the CSR section of PT Adaro Energy Indonesia Tbk; and Rosilawati, head of the finance and accounting section of PT Adaro.

Adaro is a key industry partner of UNU Jogja, providing full support for the development of the integrated campus facilities and infrastructure. Through its support of UNU Jogja, PT Adaro has demonstrated its commitment to promoting quality education.

Zuraida explained that Adaro supports the development of several Islamic boarding schools and campuses through various programs. At these schools, students are trained to acquire skills and improve their economic conditions so they can advance to higher levels of education. "At UNU Jogja, this idea is being realized at a high level. We are happy to be part of this change,” she said.

She also praised UNU Jogja's efforts to develop the campus with Adaro's support. "This visit was an impressive experience. From the bottom of my heart, I thank UNU Jogja for its efforts," she said.

She added that Adaro is ready to continue this collaboration. "We are open to any partnership and unlimited collaboration. There are many things we can do together to make this small seed grow into something big. If Islam progresses, this country will progress as well,” she said.

The Adaro delegation was welcomed by UNU Jogja Rector Widya Priyahita and several other leaders, who expressed their highest appreciation for Adaro's support of UNU Jogja, especially during the Integrated Campus's early stages of establishment.

"The support we received at the beginning, when we had no programs or achievements, was very meaningful to us. We are deeply grateful, and we express our gratitude by maintaining this trust. Not only through physical support, but also through implementing quality campus programs,” he said.

During the meeting, UNU Jogja expressed hope that its collaboration with PT Adaro will continue to grow. This aligns with UNU Jogja’s plans to develop strategic international programs, including establishing the School of Metallurgy and Materials to produce top-tier human resources in the energy sector. However, he hopes that the relationship between UNU Jogja and Adaro will be more than professional; he hopes it will be like a family. "So, like a new family, whenever you come to Jogja, please stop by UNU Jogja. We’ll go out for a meal,” Widya said, prompting laughter from the audience.

In addition to discussing UNU Jogja's development, the visit over the weekend included a tour of the campus, an exchange of souvenirs, and a group photo with the leadership team. [Arif]
