General & Eligibility Requirements

Q: What is the Beasiswa Talenta Lestari (BTL) Program?

A: The Beasiswa Talenta Lestari (BTL) Program is a strategic funding initiative and social investment (CSR/ESG) collaborative project between the Yayasan Amanah Bangun Negeri (YABN) and PT Alamtri Resources Indonesia, in partnership with Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama (UNU) Yogyakarta.

This program fully funds tuition fees and capacity-building programs for 100 outstanding young talents over a period of 4 years (8 semesters).

Focused on achieving SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), SDG 13 (Climate Action), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), this program merges academic excellence with tangible outcomes in the form of Sustainable Projects.

These projects are integrated with the 2026 Government Higher Education Key Performance Indicators (IKU) across the economic, educational, and health pillars, which also align with the focus of the Yayasan Amanah Bangun Negeri (YABN).

Q: What is meant by the "Upgrade New U" Motivation Essay?

The theme "Upgrade New U at UNU Yogyakarta" carries a dual meaning: "New U" symbolizes a personal transformation into the best version of yourself (New You), while simultaneously representing becoming a part of UNU Yogyakarta, which—though established just 9 years ago—stands as a hub for future studies and sustainability innovation.

Through this essay, the selection team expects an honest, structured, reflective, and action-oriented piece of writing. The essay aims to assess a growth mindset, responsiveness to sustainability issues, and the alignment of the student's aspirations with the academic pillars at UNU Jogja and future industry needs.
