Yogyakarta, Indonesia – The Research, Community Service, and Development Institute (LP3M) of UNU Jogja has officially registered the establishment of the Halal Product Process Assistance Institution (LP3H) with the Halal Product Assurance Agency (BPJPH) on Saturday, July 6.
The registration of this new institution, under the Halal Center of LP3M UNU Jogja, was attended by Acting Rector of UNU Jogja Suhadi, Director of the Halal Center Listiana Hidayati, and Director of Internal Pesantren Affairs Ahmad Hujaj Nurrohim. The registration is expected to soon receive official approval from BPJPH.
“Yesterday, led by Ms. Listiana as the Director of the Halal Center, we registered a new institution under the Halal Center—LP3H—with BPJPH. Bismillahirrahmanirrahim, hopefully, it will be approved soon,” said Acting Rector Suhadi.
After the registration process, the LP3M team continued discussions with representatives of BTPN Syariah. The meeting was attended by Vini Daru Perdana, Head of Days Activation and Partnership at PT Bank BTPN Syariah Tbk. The discussion explored potential strategic collaboration between UNU Jogja’s LP3H Halal Center and BTPN Syariah, which serves around 3.7 million ultra-micro business actors across Indonesia.
“We had the opportunity to discuss directly with Ms. Vini from BTPN Syariah’s head office in Jakarta. Insyaallah, LP3H Halal Center UNU Jogja will become a strategic partner in providing halal certification assistance for ultra-micro entrepreneurs supported by BTPN Syariah. Alhamdulillah, our newly established institution has already gained a potential partner. Thank you all for your support and prayers,” added Suhadi.
Through the establishment of LP3H under its Halal Center, LP3M UNU Jogja reinforces the university’s commitment to supporting the growth of the halal industry, assisting MSMEs and ultra-micro entrepreneurs in obtaining halal certification, and expanding the university’s community service impact through collaboration with Islamic financial institutions.
