PGSD Students Win Third Place in National Learning Media Competition Cipta Karsa Mahasiswa 2025

Yogyakarta, Indonesia — Students of the Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD) Study Program at UNU Jogja won Third Place in the National Learning Media Competition Cipta Karsa Mahasiswa 2025, organized by the PGSD Study Program of Universitas PGRI Yogyakarta (UPY).

The Cipta Karsa Mahasiswa 2025 competition carried the theme “Creating Enjoyable and Meaningful Learning through Concrete and Interactive Media to Support Innovative Education in Elementary Schools.” The event was attended by students from various universities across Indonesia.

The PGSD UNU Jogja team, consisting of Milda Dina Aulia, Ajeng Setia Thobroni’z, Umi Nur Khasanah, Fatimah Nurlaili, and Adinda Dwi Landari, successfully presented an innovative and interactive learning media concept designed to increase elementary school students’ interest and learning motivation.

The idea emerged from the team’s concern over the conventional teaching methods still commonly used in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects at elementary schools, which often result in low student interest and motivation, particularly in learning PAI.

“We developed an interactive PowerPoint-based learning media using Canva that can be directly operated by students. This media not only contains learning materials but is also equipped with learning objectives, instructional videos, and interactive evaluations with immediate feedback,” explained Milda, one of the team members.

Winning Third Place at the national level demonstrates the creativity and innovation of PGSD UNU Jogja students in developing learning media that are relevant to students’ needs.
