China – Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama (UNU) Jogja reaffirmed its commitment to digital transformation and educational innovation by attending Huawei’s prestigious 2025 Global Education & Healthcare Partners China Convention, held on July 7–11, 2025, in China.

The UNU Jogja delegation was represented by Vice Rector for Institutional Transformation and Digitalization, Brian Edityanto, and Director of Digital Transformation, Arief Faqihudin. The event gathered Huawei executives, global public sector speakers, and policymakers from education and healthcare institutions worldwide, including Li Junfeng (Vice President of Huawei & CEO of Global Public Sector BU), Zhang Lin (President of Global Partner, Commercial & Distribution Enterprise Business), and Hou Tieying (Party Secretary and President of Shenzhen Nanshan People’s Hospital).

“The presence of UNU Jogja in this global forum hosted by Huawei is a golden opportunity to broaden our perspectives and strengthen international networks, particularly in AI-based education development,” said Brian Edityanto.

During their stay, UNU Jogja’s delegates actively participated in several key activities, including the Global Education & Healthcare Partners China Convention 2025, the Global AI-Enhanced Education Roundtable, a tour of Huawei’s R&D Campus, and benchmarking visits to several leading smart campuses in China.

Arief Faqihudin added, “Through this visit, we gained valuable insights and best practices from top Chinese universities, strengthening our strategic collaboration in digital transformation to advance UNU Jogja as a leading smart campus in Indonesia.”
