UNU Jogja Opens Registration for Premarital Counseling Facilitator Training to Develop Professional Family Counselors

Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Yogyakarta (UNU Jogja), through its Center for Family Studies (PUSDEKA) and Faculty of Islamic Studies, in collaboration with the Directorate General of Islamic Community Guidance, Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, and the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Special Region of Yogyakarta, has opened registration for the 2026 Technical Training for Premarital Counseling (Bimwin Catin) Facilitators. The program aims to prepare competent facilitators to assist prospective couples in building sakinah, mawaddah, wa rahmah (peaceful, loving, and compassionate) families.
Premarital counseling is one of the strategic efforts to enhance couples' readiness before entering married life. In addition to discussing marital relationships, the training covers family communication, reproductive health, child parenting, family resilience, and constructive conflict resolution.
Through the training, participants will receive instruction from experienced facilitators, training modules, facilitation practice sessions, site visits, and the opportunity to serve as certified Premarital Counseling (Bimwin Catin) Facilitators. Participants will also receive a facilitator certificate, hotel accommodation for three days and two nights, and meals throughout the program.
The 2026 Bimwin Catin Facilitator Training will be conducted in two batches. Registration for Batch I is open from July 4–18, 2026, with the training scheduled for July 28–30, 2026. Batch II registration will run from August 1–20, 2026, with training taking place on September 11–13, 2026. All sessions will be held at Grand Keisha Hotel, Sleman, Yogyakarta.
The program is open to Islamic religious counselors, marriage registrars (penghulu), religious leaders, Islamic community activists, university lecturers, and educational staff who are interested in strengthening family resilience and providing premarital counseling services.
Participants are required to pay a subsidized registration fee of IDR 1,000,000. The training is limited to 30 participants per batch, with a total capacity of 60 participants.
